In Everday, every user is represented by a Skill Passport—a comprehensive profile that consolidates their skills, achievements, and growth potential. To begin using Everday effectively, the first step is adding users to the platform through the Skill Passport section.
Why proper setup matters
Adding users ensures you:
- Capture accurate data: Build detailed profiles to analyze team strengths and gaps.
- Enable platform insights: Skill Passports power key features like the Skill Matrix and tailored recommendations.
- Streamline onboarding: Provide employees with a clear starting point for exploring their development opportunities.
How to add users to the platform
To add users, navigate to the Skill Passport section in Everday. From here, you can choose one of three methods:
-
Send invites to employees (recommended)
- Navigate to Skill Passports → Invite team members.
- Enter the email addresses of employees you’d like to onboard.
- (Optional) Enable the onboarding conversation to gather direct insights about their skills, goals, and experience.
- Employees will receive an email invitation to set up their profiles and upload their information by using their LinkedIn profile, resume or adding the information manually.
Why use this method?
- Makes the onboarding more agile by letting the employees upload their information by themselves.
- It’s the easiest way to gather the most accurate and up-to-date information directly from employees.
-
Upload resumes or LinkedIn profiles
- Gather PDF versions of employee resumes or LinkedIn PDF profiles.
- Go to Skill Passports → Upload profiles, and drag your files into the upload window.
- Everday will automatically extract and analyze the data to create the Skill Passports.
Why use this method?
- It’s perfect for quick setup when you already have comprehensive employee data.
Here’s how to upload your team member profiles:
- Collect resumes or LinkedIn profiles:
- If you have their resumes, you’re good to go!
- To download a team member's LinkedIn profile as a PDF:
- Go to the team member’s LinkedIn profile.
- Click the More button (below their profile picture).
- Select Save to PDF to download the profile.
-
Manually create profiles
- Navigate to Skill Passports → Add profile.
- Enter the user's information like: name, work experience, education, and certifications.
Why use this method?
- Best for one-off cases or when no digital data is available for a team member.
What happens next?
Once users are added:
- Employees invited via email will set up their Skill Passports through the onboarding process.
- Uploaded resumes or LinkedIn profiles will be processed, automatically populating Skill Passports.
- Manually created profiles will be ready for further updates or assessments.
Pro Tip: Use the AI-guided interview feature during onboarding to gather detailed information about your team members skills and proficiency levels efficiently.
By adding your users to Everday via the Skill Passport section, you lay the groundwork for deeper workforce insights and data-driven decisions. Once profiles are in place, you can begin exploring features like the Skill Matrix and tailored development plans.
